Reply with quote | #2 | First of all, being properly diagnosed is very good! Now you can begin the multi-faceted work required to allow your adrenals to recover. Retesting is not as important as initiating your recovery plan and improving your daily habits; even if only a "baby-step" at a time.
What was going on for the months or years before your realized you were burned-out? Are those stresses still a part of your life? Have you made serious changes in your stress, diet, sleep and supplement routine? Have you read Adrenal Fatigue by James Wilson?
I'm NOT asking you to answer these questions for me. You need to know the answers for yourself and continue working with the physician or practitioner who helped you arrive at this diagnosis.
Testing and retesting can certainly be done, but your symptoms and your improvement is the real goal. The number on the test report may look better, but it all comes down your improved energy, stamina and health.
I would not test any sooner than 4-6 months after initiating a series of serious changes in life style.
